How To Add A Second Ring Doorbell?(Simple Steps)

Homes today have more than one entry point.

This makes things a little complicated when someone wants to ensure that all entry points have a Ring doorbell.

Since a doorbell only comes with one, you need to purchase a second one separately.

Today we will guide you through the process of installing the second Ring doorbell and how to adjust its settings.

How Many Ring Doorbells Can I Have On My Account?

Your Ring subscription account allows you to link up to 10 doorbells.

When you link multiple doorbells to your account, you will receive alerts and have access to live video and audio to all the doorbells linked to the account.

This lets you easily manage all the doorbells at the same time.

At the moment, there is no way to have more than 10 Ring doorbells linked to an account.

If you need to install more than 10 doorbells, you will have to use multiple Ring accounts to monitor the 11th doorbell and onward.

How To Set Up A Second Ring Doorbell?

Before you install the doorbell next to an entry point, link it to your Ring app.

Each doorbell is set up individually, you can follow the process below to set up the second doorbell:

  2. Select the Set-Up a Device option.
  3. Pick the device from the list that you are setting up.

  5. You will now be prompted to confirm your address.
  6. Select the ‘Custom’ setup option, so you can give the second doorbell a unique name and alert sound. This will help you distinguish the doorbell from the other.

Once you’ve finished setting up the device on the app, you can install it to your entry point.
